Shabby Chic for Die Cuttin' Divas

Good Morning,

Hope everyone is well today. I am up bright and early today and looking forward to heading to school. Yesterday the power was out for hours. The students did great with no lights or AC, but I am ready to get back to work.

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I have to ask...what is shabby chic? I looked for pictures to help me and they were gorgeous, but it was a bit of a challenge for me to make. I gave it try. That is what challenges are all about, right? Trying something new. : )

I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our Shabby Chic/Vintage challenge.

Take Care,
Georgiana

Thank Ewe

Look...I am back with another card this evening. I am having a great time crafting and sharing my cards with my daughter and husband (although they do not seem as excited as me). I can not quite figure out why not. : ) That is okay. I will keep creating anyways!

I followed another sketch to create this "fluff" card. I do love sketches! I found this one at Deconstructing Jen when I was looking thru the Feline Playful postings.

October 31st Pumpkin

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Today has been a productive day and I now am in the mood to make some cards. Here is my first one. I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch (see below) and some paper I received from Mistyrose at Sweet Magnolia Rose.
The scalloped rectangle was cut from the Spring Holiday Cards cartridge and the pumpkin was cut from October 31st at 3".

Here are the images on the cartridge...yes, they are spooky and creepy. Perfect for Halloween!

Hope you have a great night.

Fun at the Circus

Good Morning!

Welcome back for another Design Team project for the Die Cuttin' Diva's Weekly Challenge.

Can you remember when all those crazy clowns would crawl out of the mini car? How did they all fit in there anyways? What about the trapeze artist swinging high above the crowds while performing those breathing taking flips? I loved the animals, but now-a-days I do not think I could stand to see the animals being used for entertainment. I would want to take them all home with me. : )

This week our challenge is...Circus Fun.
Materials:
I used the Create-a-Critter cartridge for all the cuts.
Circus tent and So Fun~ p. 55
Stool ~ p. 56
Lion ~ p. 57
Scrap papers
green ribbon and gems
wiggly eyes

I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week.

Mr. Frog Says Happy Birthday

Good Evening,

It has been about two weeks since I have posted my last card and I hope that doesn't happen again. The beginning of the school year is always a challenge. I did make a bunch of cards last weekend to help relieve some stress, but forgot to share. Ooops! I did take pictures of the Gator colored cards I made for a fellow teacher, so I will post below.

Here is a new card that is just too cute. Mr. Frog wants to celebrate another birthday.
I used the Create-a-Critter frog and cut him at 3".
Challenges:

Here are last weekend's cards.

Look what my daughter made this evening. They are brownie pops. She even did the drizzle by herself.

They sure do look good. I hope they taste yummy too.

Until next time,
Georgiana

Do You Like Zebras?

Hoping you are getting ready for a relaxing weekend and you are able to find time to craft. I have plans to go to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Jacksonville on Saturday (9/10). I am volunteering to be a teacher assistant, so I hope I learn something new in the class. Perhaps they will also have some irresistible goodies and great crafting deals. I will be sure to report back.

Do you like zebras? What about the color pink? How about putting the two together?

Here is a card to help celebrate someone's special day.
I used the Once Upon a Princess cartridge for the tag.

Hope you have an enjoyable weekend.

Stay Crafty,
Georgiana

How About This Sketch?

Good Morning!
Welcome back for another Design Team project for the Die Cuttin' Diva's Weekly Card Challenge. This week we have a new sketch. I sure did enjoy making this card.

I used Once Upon a Princess to cut the tag. I had no idea all these fabulous tags were even on this cartridge. I have always looked at the cute little princess clothes and pushed it to the side. Now I plan on using them more often for my sentiments.

Be sure to let me know if you have this cartridge and have used the tag feature before. If you haven't either, pull yours out today! You will be pleased with the options.

I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week.
Stay Creative,
Georgiana

How Many Cards?

Hello!
I have a question for you...How many cards do you work on at a time? Do you work on one until it is completely finished or do you have a few in the works?

I thought I would share what I have been working on since Friday night. I am NOT done yet, BUT I am getting closer.
  • I have created the left three on the top shelf, but they need a sentiment still. They will be either Happy Birthday or Thank You, so I can complete my order. Rex just sits there since he is cute to look at.
  • I have been working on the middle two today while watching the Criminal Minds marathon. "Merci" was posted yesterday.
  • The five on the bottom shelf (next to my open stack of paper) are almost done. The ones sitting on my paper stack have been posted previously, but go with this order. I kept them there so I can see the colors and variety.
I need to add my personal stamp to the back of each card and finish decorating the envelopes.

Better go, so I can get more done before school tomorrow. I worked on my math lesson plans this morning for the next 3 weeks, so I will have time to craft throughout the week. Yeah!

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Merci

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have been busy making a few cards today since I worked on my reading lesson plans yesterday (Yeah! I have almost a month done...just need to work on Math and Science now.), and tomorrow I plan on visiting/hopping to see what I have missed. I know school just started, but I am glad it is a three day weekend since I have neglected my crafting time and chatting with my crafty friends.

I made this card for the Allsorts Challenge ~ Green and Blue. My daughter sure does like this card since these are her favorite colors. I included some blue gems for the Scrappy Frogs Challenge ~ Bling.
Materials:
Heidi Grace Paper
White and blue cardstock
Create-a-Critter cartridge ~ Merci (p. 36) 3/4" and flowers/circle (p. 62) 3 1/2" and 3 1/4"
white ribbon
blue gems

I hope I will be able to enter a few more challenges tomorrow. Little Red Wagon wants border punches and I love to find sketches. I will post my other cards once I finish the sentiments and take photos.

5. Your favorite pet? My dog, Molly

6. Black or White? Black

7. Your biggest fear? Tornadoes ~ Storm Chasers are crazy!
