Greetings to You This Season

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by.  Today I am sharing the new challenge at Paper Play Sketches. Great way to combine a few challenges, especially this time of year.

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
Keeping with the festive holiday season....a Christmas wreath

I cut the wreath on my Cameo and the MFT sentiment was cut with my CuttlebugLittle berries add a pop of red color on the green wreath.

Golly...the more I look at this picture those polka dots don't look green! My lighting must be horrible! I think they are a shade of blue and not green like the stripes. Hmmm? Should I keep it the way it is or change the strip to a different pattern with green?
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members since there is so much inspiration!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Make It Sparkle at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Diva Fans,

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I hope you will join us this week since you get to use all the sparkles for this one. Oooh...doesn't that sound like fun!?!

This Week's Challenge...
~ Make It Sparkle ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I love my pattern papers, but I have been very interested in the clean and simple look. I decided to combine watercolor and sparkle to help spread some holiday cheer.

I cut my watercolor paper with MFT Blueprint #20 stitched rectangle die.

I used a water pen and purple (then pink) watercolor paint to create the backgrounds. The Spellbinders ornament was in my stash (so nice to find old stuff that you haven't used in quite a while...seems like new again) and cut it  into silver glitter foam with the Cuttlebug. I heat embossed the sentiment by Bug Bites ~ Glad Tidings with silver powder by Stampendous.

I adhered the ornament and tiny satin bows with Glue Dots.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Make It Sparklechallenge. The other design team members did a super job this week.

Thanks for stopping by!

Heat Embossed Snowflakes

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Carson's Creations
We went to Disney ~ Magic Kingdom this morning since our annual passes expire in a couple weeks. The park opened at 8am and we were able to get on the majority of the rides before lunch. I thought it was going to be super busy, but with the Disney app and three Fast Passes we enjoyed ourselves. That was until the ride home...the traffic on the turnpike was incredibly slow. It took us almost an extra hour to get home. During the long ride home, I was thinking about making a black and white heat embossed card. I knew I wanted red, and the blue came later.

Here are the results...

I used My Favorite Things Blueprint #20 for the scalloped edge and stitched black mat.

The Merry Christmas was cut with a MFT die.

The Martha Stewart snowflakes were heat embossed with White Zing embossing powder. I added either white or blue pearls to the center of each snowflake.

Inside both cards is a stamped MFT sentiment ~ Trim the Tree stamp set was used.
Challenges:

One more day before heading back to school. I keep thinking about what I need to do to be prepared for students. Lots to do still, but tomorrow is another day!

Here is my Design Team project...
I remembered I had this paper stack by Miss Match...isn't it great for this photo?!?!

The stamped sentiment is by My Favorite Things ~ Encouraging Words stamp set. I heat embossed with Ebony detail embossing powder by Recollections.

I used the following sketch by Sunday Stamps.

Paper Play Sketches #23

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by.  I am sharing the new challenge at Paper Play Sketches a little later than the rest of the Design Team. I had school yesterday and started sneezing throughout the entire day. By the end of the day I was wiped and ready to rest. This morning I went to Joanns for the Pre-Black Friday sale (had to get my Fiskars blades for 60% off) and stopped for some medicine on the way home.  I am finally feeling a little better after a few doses.

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
Love all the layers!

I used My Favorite Things ~ Written in Watercolor stamps and heat embossed the sentiment on vellum. I used small Glue Dots under the letters to hide the adhesive. The pattern paper is by Doodlebug Designs. I cut the small present by Too Cute by Jessica on my Cameo.
Other Supplies:
white and kraft card stock
teal gem
Caribbean Twine by The Twinery

Other Challenges:

Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members and leave some crafty love!

This Week's Challenge...

I was in the mood to make a Christmas card even though Thanksgiving is a couple days away. Seeing all those decorations in the stores, the lights on the square, the holiday movies being advertised on TV, and now the cold weather...it makes you feel festive!

The Christmas cow is by KaDoodle Bug Designs and it is still available.

The stamped sentiment is by My Craft Spot. Kimberly closed her store last year, but these are still wonderful stamps.
Other Supplies:
white, black, red, and green card stock
Paper Studio plaid paper

MFT Zig Zag Stitched Circle die
Versafine Black Onyx ink
green crinkle ribbon by 3 Girl JAM

Thankful for Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the Thankful for Fall Blog Hop!
This hop is all about the beauty of Fall and being thankful for what we do have. Enjoy the creativity, get inspired, share some crafty love, and then randomly thank some one.

There are nine stops and you won't want to miss any of them! I am the first, Carson's Creations. There is also a complete line-up at the end of this post just in case you need it.

What would a hop be without Blog Candy?!?! Since each of use are thankful for our crafty friends, each blog has a bit of candy that needs to be won. Thank goodness for candy!

Here's How:
Be sure to be a FOLLOWER and COMMENT on each blog.
If you are a follower, your comment could be randomly drawn to win some fantastic prizes! Read each blog post carefully to see what is being offered at each stop along the way!

Here is my project:

After making my students those pretzels and M&M treats last week, they wanted more. Since I am very thankful for the hard working class that I have this year, I made them another surprise. 1 x 8" skinny bag treats filled with milk chocolate M & Ms.

I used Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge to cut the tags at 1 1/2".

I cut the pumpkins on my Cameo. The two-sided pattern paper made it easy to change the look of the pumpkins. The brown tins came from the dollar spot at Target.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Let's Talk Turkey stamp set. Brown polka dot ribbon is from Michaels.

This is the prize being offered on my page:
A surprise package of crafting goodies

Remember to win, you need to be a follower of my blog and leave a comment!
You have until Sunday night, November 20th at 8:00 pm EST to hop along with us! All winners will be announced on Monday, November 21st on each individual blog. The winners will also be posted on Carson's Creation Facebook page after all the winner's posts go live on each blog.

Here's the complete hop line-up in case you need to start at the beginning! Enjoy!
Thank you for hopping along with us today! Your next stop is Janis.

Paper Play Sketches #22

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by.  Today I am sharing the new challenge at Paper Play Sketches. Whether you need a starting point or enjoy seeing variety, a sketch gives numerous possibilities. You can rotate the layout, so you can actually make more than one project and they can end up looking differently.

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
I decided to use this glitter paper from Recollections because I thought it was classic looking and didn't need many embellishments.

An elegant silver pattern with a touch of teal gems only needed a simple sentiment. I used silver embossing powder and a stamp by jillibean ~ handwritten sentiments set.

Gold stripes with just a few sequins and the same stamp set.
Other Challenges:

Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members since each designer interpreted the sketch differently.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Die Cuttin Diva ~ Thanksgiving

Hello Diva Fans,

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I hope you will join us this week since we all have so much to be thankful for.

This Week's Challenge...
Thanksgiving or Being Thankful

Here is my Design Team project...
Thanksgiving will be celebrated next week at my in-laws house, but this year it is extra special. My 23rd anniversary falls on the same day. LOTS to be thankful for this year! Family, my dog, our education, job, friends, happiness, etc.

I used the Sketch Saturday layout for my card.

This turkey is by KaDoodle Bug Designs ~ Gobblers. The pattern papers are by My Mind's Eye and the solid card stock is by Recollections.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Turkey Poop set.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Thanksgiving/Thankfulchallenge. The Design Team really did a terrific job with their projects. Looking forward to seeing yours.

Simply Moovelous with Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello Everyone,

It was dreary looking outside earlier, which meant it was a good reason to stay inside. I like to make lists, so I made a long one and I am going to work on it throughout the day. I have read the paper, did a little laundry, put the dishes away, and now I am ready for more items to be crossed off "the list".

Since I like sketches, I scrolled through Paper Playful looking for a current one. I found the Tuesday Morning Sketches' photo, which has lots of options with the numerous boxes.

Here is the card I created. I switched from squirrels to cows this weekend. Not sure why...maybe it's because they brought in a bull to the animal rescue farm down the road.  I drive by it everyday on my way to school and then back home.

Isn't that smile contagious?!?! The peeking cow is by Miss Kate Cuttables. The pattern paper is by My Mind's Eye ~ Everyday Basics pad. The solid colored card stock is by Recollections.

The stamped sentiment is by Craftin Desert Divas ~ Simply Moovelous set.
Other Challenges:

Enjoy the rest of your day. If you like to make list...hope you cross off lots of completed tasks.

Georgiana
