Term Over at Eyelet Outlet and Brads

Hello Everyone,

I just got back yesterday from a week long cruise in the Caribbean. What a fabulous way to end summer break before heading back to school on Thursday. We went to Haiti, Jamaica, and Mexico and did an excursion at each port. Fun! Fun! Fun! We are already talking about next year's cruise since it will be our 25th anniversary. My first choice is a Scandinavian trip with stops in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Amsterdam, and/or Russia. We need to research ports and flights before making any final decisions. Wherever we decide, it will definitely be memorable.

Today is the last day of my Eyelet Outlet and Brads term. Six months has flown by and it was a pleasure showcasing so many different products. I know I will continue to use a variety of the products and hope you will add some to your collection.

I used a few My Favorite Things products but really want to focus on the vellum and pink gems. Since adhesive will typcially show through vellum I applied small dots of glue behind the gems. Now you can't see any residue and the vellum is securely adhered.

I added Wink of Stella clear glitter to the MFT sheep.

Eyelet Outlet and Brads has a wide variety of products! Why not check them out today.

Under the Sea at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations! I am glad you are stopping by to see what I have been creating. Today brings a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Under the Sea ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I created two snack boxes for any day trip...perhaps to the aquarium. Me, I love Sea World and the best part is educators can get a free teacher pass. Guess what I forgot when I was making this project? The goldfish crackers. I went to the grocery store, but forgot to write them on this list. Have you ever done that?

I cut the Silhouette boxes by Sweet Afton with my Cameo. The original came with the goldfish cut-out, but I changed the other one. I used a MKC dolphin file and only needed one layer. I added  a piece of clear transparency film so the crackers won't fall out. The mini tag is by My Craft Spot and the Fish On stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom.
I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Under the Seachallenge. Be sure to check out the other design team projects.

I Can't Thank You Enough at Eyelet Outlet and Brads

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today is my second to last day to post at Eyelet Outlet and Brads since my term will be complete at the end of July and I am showcasing a few different products from the shop.

Here is my Design Team project...
I am still trying to add some thank you cards to my stash. When I go back to school in two weeks I want to be able to give a card to the parents that send in items from the class wish list. Due to budget cuts, our class supply orders were cancelled and I am going to be appreciative of anything that I can get for the students.

I used the following sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

I layered the light purple flowers and added a round daisy brad in the center. Both the flowers and brads come in a variety of colors. The flower was adhered with a 1/2" Glue Dot.

The background was created using MFT periwinkle ink and a splatter stamp from the Distressed Patterns set. The stamped sentiment is by My Favorite Things ~ Thank so Very Much set and the heart enamel dots are from Eyelet Outlet and Brads.

I used the following products from Eyelet Outlet and Brads shop.

Fluttering By to Say "Hi" at Paper Play Sketches

Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

Today is Paper Play Sketches Day.
This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
First, I had to decide which paper stack I wanted to use for this sketch. I chose Vintage Bliss by Simple Stories because of the color palette.

Then I needed to select an image for the square...I love butterflies, so I pulled out a die from my stash. This set had an embossing die, which left a slight imprint on the wings.

The stamped sentiment is an oldie by Whimsical Designs.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members to see how they used the sketch.

Sci-Fi with Yoda at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations! I am glad you are stopping by to see what I have been creating. Today brings a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva and my hubby has been at it again. I showed him my card and he made another wise crack. Please tell me I am not alone. Does anyone else have a hubby that loves to give you a hard time in a teasing way, of course?

This Week's Challenge...
~ Sci-Fi ~

Here is my Design Team project...
My hubby was wearing a Darth Vader t-shirt that said I am your Father. I showed him my card and said, "This is Hello Kitty Yoda, and I am your Mother." He said there are no girl Yodas. Gee, he just didn't get it. Actually, I think he just likes to give me a hard time. : )

This Hello Kitty Yoda was from a previous blog hop by Jaded Blossom/SVG Cutting Files. I cut her with my Cameo.  I added Black Skittles from Carri at DoubleClick in the upper right corner.

When I was trying to decide what sentiment to use, I Googled a list of Yoda quotes.

I used a sitched banner by MFT and the stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Random Act of Kindness stamp set.
I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Sci-Fichallenge. Be sure to check out the other design team projects.

I'm Guest Designer at Connie Can Crop

Hello Crafty Friends,
Happy Monday!
Today I am the Guest Designer at Connie Can Crop and I am super thrilled to have been asked. What a fabulous opportunity to share with others.

The challenge...Use Your Stash.
Perfect! I have plenty of crafty supplies that need to be used.

Here is My Guest Designer project...
I created a matching tag and card for my one of my very good teacher friends that has been my walking buddy all summer.  We meet almost every day at 6:15am and walk for one hour (which is about 3.6 miles). We talk about anything and everything. Lately we have been on a healthy food kick, so I bought her a salad cookbook, which will go with this set.

First, I started with the tag. The base and sentiment is by Jaded Blossom and then I stamped all fab flowers by Lawn Fawn. The 3 Girl JAM ribbon was in a plastic container in the closet and I was glad to be able to use it with these purple flowers.

I created the card next. I decided to use the scallop rectangle mat and then I used my Cuttlebug to die cut the embroidered thanks into the cream card stock. Instead of embroidery floss, I used purple craft thread since I have a bunch in my stash. I did watch a video to make sure I was sewing in the correct direction.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Encouragement stamp set.

Thanks Connie for allowing me to be your Guest Designer. Looking forward to next time.

You're A Great Friend

Hello Everyone,
It has been busy the past couple of days, but this next week should be a bit slower paced. My daughter and I went to Flagler Beach on Thursday and yesterday I went to a National Science Conference in Orlando since my co-worker was unable to attend. That was a neat experience to be be able to talk to other Science teachers from all over the world. The authors of the Picture Perfect series presented and I attended an electrical cicuit session that was loads of fun.

Today I am sharing a card I made for a great friend just not sure which one yet.

I used the following sketch from My Favorite Things.

I used the cloud stencil to create the background then added my stamped lovable leopard with pop dots. I used lots of MFT die for the scalloped edges, square frame, stitched rectangle mat, and sentiment banner.

The sentiment is from the MFT Lovable Leopard stamp set.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend,
Take Care,
Georgiana

Adventures Awaits

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today is my day to post at Eyelet Outlet and Brads and I am showcasing the compass and gold brads.

Here is my Design Team project...
I made a tag for my daughter's boyfriend. She got him a special gift for his birthday and I told her I would create a tag to match the theme of her present. It is a surprise.

First, I cut the two piece tag with the Jaded Blossom treat die. I used Ranger Brushed Corduroy distress ink and a spritz of water to create the background. The adventure title is from Miss Kate Cuttables, which was cut on my Cameo. The compass and gold brads are by Eyelet Outlet and Brads. The gold ribbon was fed through the hole and then the brown ribbon was tied into a bow.

I used the following products from Eyelet Outlet and Brads shop.

A Treat Box for Your Zoo Cookies

Happy Thursday to Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by to see what I am sharing today.

If You Give a Crafter a Cookie has a new challenge and here is the photo inspiration...

Here is my Design Team project...
When I was growing up I wished I was like Dr. Doolittle.  As I talked to all of the animals, I  would secretly hope they would start talking to me. Sounds crazy now, but you could dream about anything when you were a kid. I still love visiting the zoo and seeing the variety of critters. My daughter wants to be a veterinarian, so she comes by it naturally.

I decided to make a couple treat boxes that you could put a few treats in for your visit. Maybe a few peanuts or leaves (if you are a vegeterian) to munch on.

These zoo treat boxes are from My Scrap Chick. Super easy to cut and assemble.
Hope you will join us at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie this week for our "Photo Inspirationchallenge. The other design team members all interpreted the picture differently, so go check them out!

You Make Me Wildly Happy

Happy Friday Everyone!
Wow! This week is a blur...where did time go? I am pretty sure I got quite a bit accomplished, but I definitely need summer to slow down. I head back to school in less than a month and I want to enjoy every moment.

Today I am combining my Miss Kate Cuttables and Eyelet Outlet and Brads post together. I have done this previously and it works well when my day to share overlaps.

Here is my Design Team project...
The peeking zebra is by Miss Kate Cuttables and the round red enamel dots and hearts are by Eyelet Outlet and Brads.

I used the following sketch by My Favorite Things.

I placed  polka dot vellum on top of the white stitched circle so the zebra would not blend in. The stamped sentiment is by My Favorite Things ~ Lovable Leopards set.
Other Challenges:
Sunny Day Crafting ~ Animals

Be sure to stop by Miss Kate Cuttables for your freebie...one every day. Then head over to Eyelet Outlet and see what type of deals there are.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend,
Georgiana

More Wedding Cookies for the Newlyweds

Hello Crafty Friends,
Welcome back to Carson's Creations!

Today I am sharing some yummy wedding treats from If You Give a Crafter a Cookie. It is week two of the challenge and you just need to create a project using the photo as inspiration. There are two different prizes available this week...one from Elisabeth Bell and another from The Cutting Cafe. Last week I used a file provided by Regina at The Cutting Cafe (click here to see).

Here is my Design Team project...
I have seen numerous bride and groom heart projects, so I searched for quite some time for a svg file but was unsuccessful. I decided to create my own.

I used the following sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches...

I used my Cameo to cut the scallop and regular hearts. I layered and trimmed the pieces to create the bride and groom outfits. I chose cream, pink, and kraft to match the colors of the cookies in the photo. Small pearls were added as buttons. The stamped sentiment on the center pink heart is by My Craft Spot.
I used a MFT stitched rectangle die for the bottom layer. I ran the two cream pieces of card stock through the Cuttlebug in a Swirl embossing folder. The "Congratulations" stamped sentiment is by JustRite stamps.
Other Challenges:
Crafty Creations ~ Anything Goes
Alphabet Challenge ~ H for Hearts
Everybody Art Ch ~ Lace or Pearls
Through the Craft Room Door ~ Anything Goes
Crafting From the Heart ~ Anything Goes

Hope you will join us at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie this week for our "Photo Inspirationchallenge. The other design team members all interpreted the picture differently, so go check it out!

Thinking of EWE at Paper Play Sketches

Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Wednesday!

After enjoying a long weekend with the hubby, he heads back to work for a few days. Now I can head back to the craft room and get some projects completed without getting side-tracked.

Today is also Paper Play Sketches Day!
This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
While we were binge watching a TV show on Amazon, I was able to try my hand at coloring some new MFT stamps. I stamped a bunch of images and then worked on a few hedgehogs, the birthday bear, a leopard, and a couple sheep. I don't own a bunch of markers, but the colors I had were a good start. My hubby picked this one...he thought the sheep would be perfect for a baby card too.

I used a Spellbinders Lacey Circle and then the MFT stitched circle. The ribbon is by Melissa Frances.

The stamped sentiment is part of the MFT Ewe Are the Best stamp set.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members to see how they interpreted the sketch.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana
